Major V20 (N97) issue

So i finally updated earlier to v20, using the OVI updater and guess what? i now cant make calls it simply says 'Not Allowed' :smileysad:

and i cant get on the internet so i went to destinations in settings to try and change the settings and when i click destinations, it sends me back to the homescreen.

DO NOT UPDATE YET!

and any technical people should i re-try with v20 installation or not!

Try shutting the phone down, remove and reinsert your SIM card and then boot the phone.

Let it complete its full update cycle before trying to initiate a call.

If the above fails to solve it the reset code *#7370# (all data will be wiped from the phones memory) has been known to solve this issue that effects a handful of users.

'do i have to repurchase'

Probably.   I think Nokia is working on getting this fixed so that you can access your purchased apps more than once which helps in the case where you have to do a hard reset.

The issue is there is really no way around doing a hard reset - so what happens to your purchased apps is really a secondary issue.

If I were you I would do the reset, see if any of your purchased apps are available to you - if not get in touch with the Ovi store and explain your situation.  You could always point them to this thread as reference....

Don't be afraid to do a HARD RESET. It makes it Factory New!
