First of all I want to say that I'm sorry if I'm posting something that's already been posted, or if I should have posted in another topic - I searched for a way to send bug reports to nokia ... this was the best I could find.
Anyway, there is a strange thing happening when I look at photos - i click to view a photo full screen, i push the mechanical zoom button two times, then i pinch to zoom in - let go - and pich to zoom out (i can zoom out indefinitely - until there is no ... picture).
Another problem I seem to be having is the photo editor, when i zoom in and press the pan icon ... touch swiping seems to have an exaggerated acceleration to the left or to the upper side of the screen. (I mean trying to pan the picture like in kinetic scrolling - to the right - down - it doesn't really work .. but if I try to pan the picture to the left it goes all the way) - it is easily perceivable when using the maximum zoom on bigger pictures.
Also when using photo editor (zoom+pan activated) - when you zoom in a picture, in the upper right side of the screen there is a small thumbnail of the picture you are viewing and a rectangle - showing you where exactly you are zooming on the picture... if you wait 3-4 seconds until the thumbnail disappears, then pan the picture - let go - tap the screen once - the rectangle remains in the same position as before though you are viewing a different region of that picture.
Another problem with photo editing is the lag it has in the first menu for editing (though i'm a hundred percent sure that it will be fixed by the next update - a dozen other users complaining about it) - is it that hard to display 10 icons a little more smoothly.
Another problem is reading text documents (txt extension) - ITS impossible to view a text document that is more than 10 pages long ... you can scroll only using the side scrollbar.. when you try to scroll.. its impossible not to scroll 2-3 pages at a time ... (if you don't believe me - an epic fail is the "About N8-00" on the phone itself ; you guys should try viewing that thing page by page before expecting someone to accept terms and conditions of using your phone... -Settings -Phone - Phone Management - About)
* yes i can use a third party software to open texts but thats irrelevant - we're talking about plain text
If I wrote this much then - a suggestion would be - allow a greater degree of zooming on pictures (not everyone looking at pictures does so through hdmi on a 42 inch screen) - eliminating the need to open certain photos through photo editor.
At the end, I would like to say that this is a very good phone, and even with these minor software flaws, I still do not regret every cent I've payed for it (the device is worth every penny)... though it would be useful to make a page/thread dedicated to bug reporting... - I really don't want to become like those android users who check every day for 4 months if the "2.2" update for their phone is available... = Nokia, I understand you are planning to make a firmware update in the first quarter next year.. may it be a good and comprehensive one
