A lot of people want the virtual keyboard back, myself included. It was originally there, but was removed before the product was released. GREAT for texting, and web. I would bet it's there on Monday morning.T9 kinda sucks, or I'd still have my N95......

Maybe it's not the right place to post this but please forgive me this time, i posted this in another thread but seems nobody answered me... I have FM transmitter problem, it works well only when i put the phone very close to the radio if i put it a little bit far away from radio then it'll distort, previously i had n85 and it was working fine, i didn't put it very close to the radio even i was like 2-3 meter away from it.... Is it hardware problem or maybe the new firmware will fix it? Is there anyone out there who could make this thing work well? If so then please give me step by step instruction. Thanks in advance!

dont you guys think its a little late asking for all of those things...? i mean its comming out (theoretically) tomorrow... i seriously doubt that they will add anything new in 1 day. if you ask me this day is ment for final testing and last minute fixes.

i do agree with you however... a virtual keyboard will be nice. i had to change (as in for money) my hard-keyboard so it would have my language on it. if i had a virtual keyboard i wouldnt have to do that.

31st Jan already, the new firmwares coming out tomorrow

cant wait .. im already satisfied with my phone with the new java installed and a few more things to it because of which it works stable but im sure all those things are included in this firmware. i dont expect much from nokia but a lil like improved touch and user interface would be preferred.

What work is ODP (on demand paging) in N97? i can,t superspeed compared n95, where ODP is not.

in specification N97 indicated in the specification, but the memory is rammed as fast as in N95, where it is not.

dude if u face a restart problems just do one thing go to ur message settings & change ur message memory to Mass Storage this will definately solve the problem......

Hi ,Still i did not get the firmware update version 2.0 to my Nokia N97 RM 505 ,product code 0586199 . Can you please address this issue ,will it be available for this product code or not. Thanks.(my current version is V 12)

I'm also using FM transmitter in my car every day and it works wonderful, after I noticed a few things.

1. Make sure you're using an *EMPTY* frequency that no radio station is on!
2. Make sure you're using a frequency that isn't right next to a radio station!
3. Use the lowest possible frequency!

In my area I'm using 89.90 because the close frequencies 90.0 and 89.80 are free!

It may depend on your region and radio station to find the best frequency!

Same for me i got  aswell a RM505 N97 and code 0588336.. and current software is v12.0.026 and havent been able to update it for ages now! =(

what is GMT? which country's time zone is considered as GMT? i just wanna find out what time i should be expecting it.

i used the +GMT Singapore as my time zone. it's past 8am here. so it's now past +8:00 GMT, i guess.

i guess, i'll wait for another minute...

Hi Guys,

GMT=Greenwich Mean Time. Essentially the time in London.  If I remember correctly New York is seven hours behind so that would be GMT - 7, Berlin is 1 hour ahead so that's GMT+1 (as are most European countries).  The firmware should therefore be available 7.5 hours approx after the time of this post.
